Our Mission
The Ghost Education and Research Center is here to further knowledge and understanding in the paranormal arena.
We provide free paranormal investigation services to the greater Portland area, including Vancouver and southwest
Washington. We also engage in paranormal data collection, analysis, and research projects. We will work with other
investigation teams and research groups on joint projects where interests, philosophy, and opportunity intersect.
Our Experience
Our team members have been conducting on-site investigations for a number of years. They are well versed in data
collection, site assessment, interview techniques, and other "soft" skills. Many are also highly trained technically, with
industry experience in audio, video, electronics and other engineering disciplines and fields. We bring this Day Job
professionalism and experience to bear on every investigation.
Our Philosophy
If we go into a site and come out with great video, photographs, or EVP's, but have not helped to establish a level of
comfort and confidence for our clients, then we have failed to meet our primary objectives. The GERC team is about
learning and about helping. Our experience predates reality TV "ghost hunters" shows. We enjoy investigating, but we
are not here for the trophies. Respect, for the living and for the dead, is the foundation of our value system.
